We had a very relaxing winter and early spring in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. It has been fun getting to know our neighbors and getting more involved in the community. The best part of the year is when our kids come to visit. We tried something a little different this year, and rented a really nice beachfront condo on South Padre Island (SPI). The kids loved it and it was such a great place to just hang out, especially when the weather was not that great. We still stayed in our RV, and had the pleasure of meeting Cherie and Chris from “Mobile Internet Resource” in person, as they were staying in the same park to watch the Space-X launch. The launch got delayed several days, so we unfortunately did not see up close at South Padre, but still saw from Estero Llano Grande State Park on our anniversary; which was still pretty cool. Mike continues to enjoy birding with local groups and by himself all over the valley. I keep busy biking, volunteering at Cinderella Pet Rescue, and many other activities. We officially became part-time Rvers this winter. We only took the RV on one trip, other than routine service and maintenance. It was a nice break, but we are on the road again, looking forward to new adventures!
