Picture Rocks National Lakeshore was absolutely beautiful! We were so lucky to be able to take a sunset cruise to get amazing views of the fabulous rock formations, and a kayaking trip where we were able to get even closer. It is really hard to describe how magical these experiences were. We have so many pictures and videos and could only share a few. The Munising, Michigan area also has 14 waterfalls and 5 lighthouses. We were able to see six of the waterfalls: Bridal Veil Falls, Chapel Falls, Spray Falls, Wagner Falls, Munising Falls and Alger falls and 3 of the lighthouses: Grand Island East Channel Lighthouse and Munising Rear and Front Range lighthouses. Julie loved taking the ferry to Grand Island and biking the trails. Mike liked birding at the Seney National Wildlife Refuge and the Sand Point Marsh Trail. The only thing we weren’t a fan of was the pasty, (PASS-tee) a “miner’s pie” famous in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
