Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park in Whitehall, Montana has one of the largest known limestone caverns in the Northwest and a wonderful campground. We took a cave tour and thoroughly enjoyed all the
intricate stalactites, stalagmites, columns, and helictites. The cave is 48 degrees year round, and felt great on a hot summer day. The campground had spacious sites, beautiful views, hiking and biking trails and was very relaxing.
Traveling to Missoula, gave us an opportunity to stock up on supplies prior to our two week stay in Glacier National Park. Jim and Mary’s RV Park was such a lovely campground, with flowers located all over the park, and at at every campsite. It was great to get some road biking and running on safe local trails in a larger city. I especially enjoyed the Milwaukee and Bitteroot trails. We had an excellent Father’s Day dinner on the patio at Scotty’s table on the Clark Fork River. Will definitely be back to spend more time in Missoula!
