We were so excited to add another state, California, and a new national park to our list. Joshua Tree National Park has been on our “bucket list” for quite a while. It was so great to finally have the opportunity be able to explore this beautiful park. The weather was a little cooler, which was actually a welcome change, especially on our longer hikes. We were fortunate to be able to complete at least one hike in every section of the park, which covers a very large geographic area: Twentynine Palms Oasis, Barker Dam, Hidden Valley, Lost Palm Oasis, Black Canyon and Panorama Loop Trail. We really loved every hike, as they all had different terrain and views. The variety of vegetation was really amazing, especially in the desert. Our country has so many amazing national and state parks, and we are so blessed to be able to travel, especially during this challenging time. Overall it continues to be very easy to social distance, and we have found that most people are following CDC guidelines. Life is good!
