We started this trip with a stop in Elkhart, Indiana to get our HWH levelers system repaired. Fortunately, the RV/Motorhome Hall of Fame in Museum is located in Elkhart, which gave us a fun activity while we waited. It really was a cool place with so many vintage and unique RV’s. Thankfully, we had a great experience with Stuart’s Service, and our RV was good to go in just a couple of hours. The Family Motorhome Coach Association membership only campground is located in Cincinnati, Ohio. It a small campground located on lake on Barber Lake with a nice walking path and near one our favorite trails, the Little Miami Scenic Trail. The best part though, was it is near my sister and her family. We had fun walking, biking, eating and watching the Chiefs win! Our next stop was St. Charles, Missouri for another attempt biking the famous Katy Trail. The last time we were near this trail, we didn’t get to ride much due to flooding. We got lucky this time with excellent weather and dry trails. The Katy Trail is the country’s longest recreational rail trail, at 240 miles, most along the Missouri River. The Katy Trail also connects with multiple neighborhood trails. We especially liked the Creve Coeur Trails around lakes and nature preserves.
Onward to Kansas City and Omaha to visit family before we head south for the winter.
