Our official state of residence is now South Dakota! We got our new driver’s licenses and transferred the title on our tow vehicle in Rapid City, in less than one hour in 2 different locations. Very different from the Northern VA DMV experience and a welcome change! Best of all we have been thoroughly enjoying the majestic beauty and attractions in the Black Hills. We definitely have had the song “Home, Home on the Range” in our heads, especially when driving through the “Wildlife Loop” in Custer State Park. We saw a ton of deer, antelope, buffalo and prairie dogs during this drive. We also hiked a very rocky and pretty trail in Custer State Park. There is so much to do in this area and we are loving the weather this time of the year in South Dakota.
