One of the best things about full-time Rving is that we have more time to spend with family. We diverted from our standard practice to relax a while in each campsite, and stopped at 4 different sites in 8 days. It was still a manageable pace, just a little more stressful. We drove through New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. The landscape was very different than the mountains we have been enjoying for the last few months, however, we have learned that every city/state has their own beauty, you just may have to work a little harder to find it.
Our desire to stay warm throughout our RV journey, has not gotten off to a very good start. We encountered another snow storm and very cold weather in Wichita, KS and in the suburbs of Kansas City. We definitely had some challenges with the potential hazards winter weather brings, especially for RV’s. We had a water hose break and difficulty getting snow off the top of our slides. Thankfully our RV has hydronic heat, so we were able to stay warm.
We have been having tons of fun with family playing games, eating meals together and just visiting. We also made sure we got in some biking and workouts at the gym to make up for all the extra food we have been eating! We found a great trail, Gary L . Haller Trail, in Johnson County in Kansas and enjoyed a nice ride on an unexpected warm day.
Enjoying lunch out with my parents.
