We had been looking at the option of Full-Time “RVing” for about a year and knew we needed to actually experience what it was really like to live in a small space with just each other. We traditionally go to the mountains in late October and were looking for a cabin near mountain biking trails but couldn’t find any, so we decided to take this opportunity to rent an RV from Cruise America.
We found some great mountain biking trails and booked a spot at Natural Chimneys Park and Campground and rented a 30 ft. RV from a location near our home. Mike drove it the 2 hours to the park and I followed in our van with our bikes and stuff. The RV drove like a boat but two hours was not bad and gave an idea what it was like to drive a large vehicle on the highway. We found living in an RV for a week to be workable and Julie even helped with the gray and black water tanks. It was a positive experience and helped us to feel more comfortable with moving forward with planning to RV full-time.
