Twin Coves in Flower Mound, Texas is our new favorite RV park in the Dallas area. We had a fabulous site right on the water, which made for great relaxation and reading by the lake. The location was perfect for having company, as there is so much to do. Twin Coves is a city park that also has great mountain biking trails and kayak rentals. Kayaking with our daughter Erica, was one of our favorite activities while we were in town. The mountain biking trails were rockier and more challenging than I like, but Mike loved them. I ran and biked the roads in Flower Mound, and many of the Dallas biking trails instead. We had tons of fun shopping, birding, playing games and eating out with Erica and her husband Shane. I especially enjoyed helping out at their office, River Birch Candles. We are so proud of Erica and Shane and how well their business is doing!
We finally had an an opportunity to visit Waco, Texas. We stayed at Speegleville Park, a Corp of Engineers campground on Waco Lake. Our campsite was spectacular, with another beautiful lake view. Of course we had to visit Magnolia Market while we were in town, which did not disappoint. We went early in the morning in the middle of the week, when it was not very crowded, which we made the experience more enjoyable.
